Ocean Breeze Miniatures History
Ocean Breeze Miniatures is located in Ormond Beach Florida near Daytona Beach. My wife Lea Anne and I live on the property with our daughters, and have been raising miniature cattle and horses for several years. Our horses are registered and we haven’t shown any yet, but we have gone to great lengths to get the best bloodlines. Please see the pedigree page. Our goal is to have small, colorful, well mannered horses that look like a standard horse, only much smaller. Our minis are treated very well at Ocean Breeze and you could say they are spoiled.
Our Cattle
Our main herd of cattle came from Dustin Pillard of Iowa, who breeds small and colorful cattle with the look of the Texas Longhorn. Our herd sire, Chunk, who from a very young age was described as “All Bull” by Dustin Pillard, and aptly named “Chunk”. Chunk is from Ripley. Our cows are small and colorful and we love them all.
We would like to see a balance between our pastures and the horses and cattle so we work very hard to grow good grass and rotate the animals so they get plenty of exercise too. This year we have a two year old bull and a small colorful heifer for sale, and look forward to the calves that will come from our exposed cows next spring.
